EE Transformer Lamination Core In China
Lamnow EE transformer lamination core is made from nickel-based alloy (also called permalloy). Our EE nickel lamination is widely used in transformers, telephones, exchanges, magnetic cards, reader printers, and microphones.
The primary purpose of using EE transformer lamination instead of a solid core is to minimize energy losses caused by eddy currents. We offer a whole range of transformer laminations in China including EI, UI, C, and toroidal types.
Customized Transformer EE Nickle Lamination
Lamnow specializes in customized EE-type lamination cores for transformers, and motor laminations in China. Our EE transformer lamination thickness includes 0.15mm, 0.2mm, and 0.35mm, the sizes include EE-20, EE-21.4, EE-24/25, EE-26/27, EE-32, and EE52. The materials include Iron-Nickel alloys (80% FeNiMo and 49% FeNi) and Iron/Cobalt.

Our Production Process For EE Transformer Laminations
Material Preparation
We employ electrical steel sheet(silicon steel sheet), nickel-iron alloy, and cobalt alloy materials, due to their high magnetic permeability and low eddy current losses.
Stamping/Cutting
For the small production and prototype transformer lamination, Lamnow employs laser cutting or wire cutting process to manufacture.
For the mass production transformer core, we design and manufacture mold to stamp out the desired core shapes. Our stamping lamination core includes E-type, I-type laminations, or C-cores and toroidal cores.
Cleaning
The laminations may have oil, dust, or metal debris on them after cutting. Ultrasonic cleaning or solvent cleaning is often used to remove these contaminants.
Stacking and Riveting
Our EE transformer laminations are stacked together based on the design, often using interleaved stacking to reduce air gaps and minimize magnetic losses. Lamnow also employs riveting process to stack the laminations together.
Heat Treatment
Our stacked EE-type core undergoes an annealing treatment in a controlled atmosphere, typically at temperatures between 800°C and 900°C.
Grinding and Polishing
For high-precision cores, additional grinding and polishing may be required to smooth out any surface irregularities.
Quality Control
Lamnow quality control includes permeability, hysteresis losses, eddy current losses tests, dimensional checks, flatness tests, and other mechanical inspections.
EE Laminations FAQS
“E”-shaped piece and an “I”-shaped piece, which are stacked together to form the transformer core. The design results in some air gaps where the E and I pieces meet, which can lead to slightly higher losses compared to C-cores.
C-cores are made by cutting a continuous loop of magnetic material into “C”-shaped sections.
EE laminated cores are widely used in various transformer types, including power transformers, distribution transformers, and in industrial applications such as impedance matching, buck-boost transformers, and lighting equipment.
