Stator And Rotor Lamination Manufacturing Process For Resolver

Resolver Lamination Prototype

wire EDM cutting lamination machine

We offer fast and precise resolver lamination prototyping services using laser cutting and wire EDM technologies.

Whether for stator or rotor prototypes, we support various material thicknesses and complex designs.

Typical lead time for prototypes is around 7 to 15 working days, depending on the complexity and quantity. Our experienced team ensures quick turnaround and quality assurance to help you accelerate your development process.

For mass production of resolver stator and rotor laminations, we offer high-speed progressive stamping services using presses ranging from 60 to 200 tons. After prototype validation, stamping becomes the ideal method for producing large quantities with consistent quality and high efficiency.

Stator core pieces are stacked while being rotated by 90 degrees to perform the translocation. All stamping dies are designed and manufactured in-house, ensuring tight tolerances, fast turnaround, and full control over tooling quality.

Resolver Stator Winding

Resolver Iron Core FAQS

A resolver is an analog rotary position sensor that detects angular position using electromagnetic coupling. It consists of a rotor and a stator with windings. As the rotor turns, it induces voltage in the stator windings, producing sine and cosine signals. These signals are used to precisely calculate the shaft angle.

Resolvers are widely used in electric vehicles, robotics, CNC machines, aerospace, and industrial motors. They provide reliable position feedback even in harsh environments, making them ideal for mission-critical systems requiring long-term stability and durability.

Unlike encoders that rely on digital signals, resolvers use analog sine and cosine signals. Resolvers are more robust against dust, oil, temperature changes, and vibration. Encoders are typically more accurate in clean environments, but resolvers are preferred for heavy-duty applications.

A resolver is composed of a laminated stator and rotor core, excitation windings, and two secondary windings positioned 90° apart. The rotor typically rotates inside the stator, and the interaction of the magnetic fields generates the output signals.
